Canadian mathematical problem-solving contest
Seven contests, Grades 3 to 9. Fully online. First edition in April 2027.
Theorema tests reasoning, not speed. A student has to understand a situation before knowing what to do. Registration takes five minutes, practice starts the same day, and results arrive two weeks after the contest.
The Theorema contest is held on Mindlympics, the practice and contest platform.

Registration takes five minutes
Online form, payment, student access created the same day. No forms to print, no cheque to mail.

Practice starts in November
Practice contests from registration, on November 16. The preparatory test is published on March 1. Everything stays open until the end of the school year.

The questions are public
A full contest for each grade, free to read, before you register. You judge the contest on its content.

Results arrive in two weeks
Automatic marking. Results and full solutions on April 30, certificates and honour rolls on May 7.

A class report shows the questions most often missed, the ideas they reveal, and the comparison with the national average.

The contests
A mathematician’s name for each grade
Each contest is named after someone whose story speaks to students at that grade. Three women, four men, five centuries and four continents.

Every contest takes place during the week of Monday, April 12 to Friday, April 16, 2027. Each school picks the day that suits each of its groups.

Founding schools
Ten places at half price for the first edition
The first ten schools reserve a place now, without paying. It is confirmed with priority on November 16. They pay 50% of the fee until December 18, in exchange for a testimonial and a short feedback call after the contest. Their name appears on this page as a founding school.
