2026-2027 edition

The calendar, November to May

Everything happens within one school year. The school registers in the fall, students practise all winter, the contest takes place in April and results arrive before the end of April. Medals are at the school well before June ceremonies.

Fall

Registration

  1. Right now

    Reserve a founding place

Ten schools, half price. Reserve your place without paying: it is confirmed with priority when registration opens.

  2. Registration opens

Online form, payment by card or on invoice. Student access is created the same day and practice opens immediately.

  3. Founding-school pricing ends

After this date, regular pricing applies.

Winter

Practice

  1. Preparatory test published

One test per grade, marked automatically, with full solutions. It uses exactly the same wording as the contest.

  2. Registration deadline

Last day to register a school or add students. You can still replace a student until the day before the contest.

April

The contest

  1. Check that your students are ready

Your dashboard shows who is ready, student by student: anyone who has done the preparatory test on the platform has already checked their device without knowing it. You receive the list of those who have never signed in. No extra session to organize.

Contest week

All seven grades

Monday, April 12 to Friday, April 16, 2027. Each school picks, for each of its groups, the day that suits it during this week. You choose when you register and can change it until Friday, April 9. On the day, you start the contest when your group is ready, between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., school local time.

  • Contest week closes

No contest can be started after this. Questions and solutions stay confidential until results are published.

  • Make-up day

Reserved for documented exceptional cases: platform incident, storm, school closure.

May

Results and medals

  1. Results and full solutions online

Each student sees their score and answers. The teacher receives the class report.

  2. Certificates and honour rolls

Certificates ready to download and print the same day. National and provincial honour rolls published.

  3. Medals and plaques shipped

Engraved once the honour rolls are published, mailed to the school with a tracking number.

Around the contest

The technical check happens on its own

Every time a student does the preparatory test or a practice contest, the platform checks their browser, image loading, answer saving and connection. To give yourselves the best chance, hold at least one session in the contest-day room and on the contest-day devices. Your technician can also test the school network in two minutes from a single device, and will find in the dashboard the list of addresses to allow through your filters.

What you need on contest day

  • One device per student: computer, laptop, Chromebook or tablet.
  • An up-to-date browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari).
  • A stable internet connection. If it drops, the contest resumes where the student left off, with the time remaining.
  • No time to schedule in advance: on the day, you click “Start” for your group, and each student’s timer starts on their own click. Your groups can write on different days and at different times.
  • One supervisor per room. The teacher starts the contest for their group from the dashboard.
  • Paper and pencil allowed. Calculators forbidden for every contest.

What if something goes wrong?

A direct phone line, with voicemail, is open all through contest week. If a student loses their connection, the contest resumes where they left off, with the time remaining. If the whole school is affected, you write the contest again on another day the same week. If a problem comes from the platform (missing image, timer, outage), the question is voided for everyone, your school is told the same day, and you choose between the April 19 make-up and a refund for the students affected. Our full policy is published before registration opens.

The week was chosen around the Quebec and Ontario school calendars. It lets you avoid professional development days, field trips and exams: just pick another day.
